一 |     (ECNS) -- The General Administration of Customs (GAC) on Wednesday proposed a “4E AEO Cooperation Initiative” to promote a more open and inclusive Asia-Pacific trade environment at an APEC Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) seminar held in Dalian, northeast China’s Liaoning Province.    More than 120 representatives from customs authorities, international organizations and AEO-certified companies across 13 APEC economies attended the seminar, discussing global trends in AEO development and its role in regional economic growth.    The AEO program, promoted by the World Customs Organization, is designed to strengthen international supply chain security and facilitate the movement of legitimate goods.    Currently, all APEC economies except Papua New Guinea have established AEO programs. China Customs has reached AEO mutual recognition arrangements with 10 APEC economies, including Singapore, South Korea and Australia.    At the seminar, the GAC proposed the 4E initiative, which focuses on enlarging the number of AEO companies, extending trade facilitation measures, expanding mutual recognition arrangements and enhancing the effectiveness of cooperation.    China also called on APEC members to build a more open, inclusive and resilient regional trade ecosystem through AEO cooperation.    The seminar was part of the APEC Third Senior Officials’ Meeting and related events held in Dalian from Aug. 17 to 28. China Customs is hosting a series of activities, including seminars on AEO and smart customs, from Aug. 19 to 24.                        。    Ankara, Oct 20 (UNI) Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's decree extending the mandate of national troops in the Russian-Turkish joint monitoring center in Azerbaijan has been submitted to the parliament, TV channel A Haber reported on Thursday.

The joint center for controlling the implementation of the ceasefire in the disputed region of Nagorno-Karabakh was established in the Azerbaijani district of Agdam in accordance with the memorandum signed by the Russian and Turkish defense ministers on November 11, 2020.

The long-standing conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh flared up in September 2020, marking the most serious escalation in relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan in years. The hostilities ended with a Moscow-brokered trilateral declaration signed in November 2020. Armenia and Azerbaijan agreed to completely cease fire and exchange prisoners. However, the situation in the region has remained tense, with intermittent clashes between the two countries.
